UK shop price inflation rose in June for the first time in nearly a yeardriven by a sharp 3.7% annual jump in food prices, the fastest pace since March 2024British Retail Consortium attributed the rise to higher wholesale costs and increased labour expenses, especially for fresh produce like meat.
