Looking at the wholesale Sales for the month:
June wholesale sales totaled $794.1 billion.
Sales fell 3.0% from May on a seasonally adjusted basis.
Sales remained 14.1% above June 2025.
May’s monthly increase was revised slightly higher to 3.5% from 3.4%.
The figures are adjusted for seasonal and trading-day differences, but not for price changes.
The June inventories/sales ratio for merchant wholesalers, except manufacturers’ sales branches and offices, based on seasonally adjusted data, was 1.19. The June 2025 ratio was 1.30. Last month the inventory to sales ratio hit a multi decade low. The bounce back higher on shows the inventory replenishment, but with sales declining at the same time, it also shows weakness.
