7.2 magnitude earthquake hit off northern Japan

A 7.2 magnitude earthquake is reported off of northern Japan. More specifically off of the coast of Aomori Prefecture.

There are Tsunami warnings for parts of northern Japan with maximum 3 m high tsunami expected after the earthquake

UPDATE. There is no abnormalities at Tohoku Electric nuclear plant in Aomori after earthquake.

The JPY has weakened on the news. For the USDJPY, the price has moved above the 200 hour MA at 155.64 and the high of a swing area up to 155.75. The high price has reached 155.91. Staying above 155.64 to 155.75 would be more bullish.
