Germany August trade balance €17.2 billion vs €15.2 billion expected

The German trade surplus expanded in August as exports fell by 0.5% on the month while imports fell more by 1.3% on the month. Looking at the details, exports to the US were down 2.5% compared to July with the figure falling to €10.3 billion – its lowest since November 2021.
