UK public inflation expectations rise in latest BOE quarterly survey

Median expectations of the rate of inflation over the coming year were 3.6% (previously 3.2%)Median expectations of the rate of inflation for the 12 months after that were 3.4% (previously 3.2%)Long-term median expectations of the rate of inflation i.e. five years’ time were 3.8% (previously 3.6%)

At 3.6%, the public view on inflation expectations are at the highest since the same quarter two years ago. As mentioned before, the case for stagflation risks is definitely building for the UK.
