We will likely have another boring day in terms of data releases and news flow as we don’t have anything on the agenda. There’s just the US Richmond Fed Manufacturing index today but it’s a volatile low-tier report and rarely market-moving.
We do have Fed Chair Powell (and Fed’s Bowman) speaking today, but unfortunately we are in the blackout period, so they won’t comment on monetary policy.
Finally, we have ECB President Lagarde speaking at 17:00 GMT/13:00 ET but given that the ECB is committed to wait for all the summer data before deciding on the next steps for interest rates, it’s unlikely that she’ll say anything new.
